Extraordinary you is a fantasy drama about a girl who finds out that she is a side character in a webtoon. It is very similar to the drama world (Viki Web Series) It makes fun of all the cliches and tropes we see in webtoons and Korean Dramas.
The Episode Begins with Eun Dan Oh Narrating that there are certain things that always happen to a heroine (She is talking about herself) and We see a rebellious teenager Nam Jo who looks like the main lead in a webtoon
In the next scene, we see A3 the parody version f3 (Boys over flowers) the three of them are oh Nam Ju (The Lead of Webtoon), Baek Kyung (The guy Dan Oh Likes), Lee Do Hwa (The Second Male Lead in the Webtoon)
An Incident happens in the hallway Ju Da (The Female Lead of webtoon) bumps into Nam Ju and they both fall on the ground and the accidental kiss happens.
Dan Oh helps her up and snaps at Nam-Ju for being rude to Ju Da and storms off and suddenly experiences a weird glitch that makes her suddenly jump forward in time Later She jumps a few more times through her mid-term exams.
Dan Oh Visits a doctor and he says nothing is wrong with her and So, she decides to investigate her condition on her own and she again jumps forward in time few more times and eventually ends up in a library.
There she finds a mysterious book with pictures (Webtoon) and sees a glimpse of the future encounter with baek Kyung and a few moments later that scene happens and she immediately drops that book and goes to the bathroom and wonders if there is something wrong with her.
Later, She goes to lunch and sees a vision of Ju Da getting tripped and tries to prevent it but in doing so they both end up getting tripped and they both get covered in curry.
In the next scene, Dan Oh tries to use her powers in the hallway and Nam Jo sees her and says that He will never like someone like her because she is embarrassing and even though Dan Oh tries to say something back She couldn't speak due to some reason.
He walks away and she goes outside where she sees a mysterious floating circle and looks like she is the only one who can see but guess what a guy named Jinmiche (Aka Dried Squid Fairy) a handsome guy who works at the cafeteria also notices it too and Eun Dan Oh chases him.
She learns that she is living in a world of comics and refuses to believe it but that Jinmiche throws her phone and It floats in the air and suddenly she jumps in time.
She is with her classmates Soo-Chul and Sae-Mi and soon things become clear to her and Jinmiche tells her again that she is in the world of comics.
She stays in the school till dark and finally accepts that she is in the world of comics and goes back to her home.
She talks to her dad and asks him what if you are a character in webtoon what would you do and then he says that no matter in what world he lives he will try to fix Oh Dan's Heart (She has a heart condition).
Dan Oh analysis her own life and realizes that she is rich, beautiful and has a fiance whom she liked for years and so she concludes that she is the main character. Meanwhile, a mysterious boy draws Dan Oh's face.
Dan oh decides that she will live her life the way she wants no matter what even though she is a webtoon character.
She helps Ju Da and wonders who is the leading man but things are not going in her favor and she later learns that she is not a lead character but a supporting character.
Ju Da and Nam Ju are main characters and she happens to be nothing more than a side character. The episode ends with a mysterious guy drawing Dan Oh's Face.
This is based on a webtoon named July found by chance and it looks like they made several changes and made it more commercial for a larger audience.
The Show is good even though it does not stick to the source material and it is not really a problem since unlike Orange marmalade this one has a more competent writer who knows what she is doing.
I'm going to watch this show until the end especially for the female lead who brings her character to life looking forward to watch second episode.
